QUEST LOG — FIRST TWO WEEKS

THE RECOVERY ARC

  1. QUEST 01Shower within an hour of getting tattooed.
  2. QUEST 02Wash with unscented antibacterial soap (Dr Pickles Foam Wash is what Crouchy recommends).
  3. QUEST 03Pat dry only — do NOT wipe the tattoo.
  4. QUEST 04Apply a small amount of aftercare 3-4 times a day with clean hands. Easy way to remember: breakfast, lunch, dinner, before bed.
  5. QUEST 05No swimming and no sun until the tattoo is fully healed.
  6. QUEST 06No picking. No peeling.
  7. QUEST 07Keep it clean — it is an open wound, treat it like one.
  8. QUEST 08Surface heals in about 2 weeks. Full settle into the skin takes 2-3 months.

OPTIONAL BUFF — PRE-SESSION

NUMBING CREAM +50 DEF

We stock numbing cream at the studio for $30 a tube. Optional, but solid for longer or more sensitive sessions. Equip it like this:

  1. 01Have a hot shower.
  2. 02Shave the area while in the shower to open your pores.
  3. 03Dry the area after.
  4. 04Apply Tattoo Numbing Cream directly to the area, using the whole tube.
  5. 05Cling-wrap the area that has cream on it.
  6. 06Leave it wrapped for 90 minutes (around 2 hours before your appointment).
  7. 07Leave it wrapped until Crouchy has prepped your stencil — he will remove the cling wrap when he is ready.
